Sexier Than A Squirrel Dog Training Challenge Day 1 Review

Baxter is a very good boy. Overall he’s a great dog. He just needs a lot of training.

You’d think doing an obedience class would do that, but I mean, okay. It’s probably our fault for not keeping up on it. The thing with ongoing training is if you’re not a professional it gets to the point where you just get confused. Like, what do I do to train? He’s figured out some stuff.

When the Sexier than a Squirrelchallenge showed up on my Facebook feed I checked it out. Honestly, I thought the name was cute and if it makes Bax better on his walks then I’m all for it. It was £27. It’s a series of videos and games to make your dog pay more attention to you than distractions.

Today was pretty easy, the lesson was about ditching the food bowl and making meal time a more animated experience. I don’t know if it achieved anything really, but Baxter had a good time chasing his food around and he finally learned to catch!

On to day two…
